This Privacy Policy describes how dfusion Inc. (“MPC: VISTA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with your use of MPC: VISTA, our web-based professional development platform for educators and other professionals (the “Platform”). Note: “MPC: VISTA” refers to this platform and its operator, dfusion Inc., and is distinct from “Making Proud Choices,” a separate curriculum program.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy should be read together with the MPC: VISTA Terms of Service.

1. Who This Policy Covers

MPC: VISTA is a professional development platform intended for adult educators, facilitators, and school or district administrators. It is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18 through the Platform. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 11 so we can address it.

2. Definitions

Account means the unique login credentials created for an individual educator, administrator, or other User to access the Platform.

Institution means a school, district, or other organization that procures access to the Platform on behalf of its staff.

Personal Data means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

Platform means the MPC: VISTA website and associated services.

Usage Data means data collected automatically through your use of the Platform, such as pages visited, time spent, and technical/device information.

You / User means the individual accessing or using the Platform, or the Institution on whose behalf that individual is acting, as applicable.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account and Registration Data

When you register for MPC: VISTA, we collect information such as:

• First and last name;
• Email address;
• School, district, or organization affiliation;
• Login credentials (username/password);
• Role (e.g., individual educator, Institution administrator).

We will not share or sell your information including your mobile numbers. We will message infrequently and you will have the option to opt-out of communication. Message and data rates may apply.

3.2 Usage and Progress Data

As you use the Platform, we collect information about your training activity, including:

• Module and course completion status;
• Quiz or assessment scores;
• Time spent in training modules or simulations;
• Certificates or records of completion generated for professional development credit.

3.3 Automatically Collected (Usage) Data

We may automatically collect certain information when you use the Platform, including your device’s IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, time spent on those pages, and other diagnostic data.

3.4 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Platform and understand how it is used. These may include session cookies (to keep you logged in and secure your Account) and persistent cookies (to remember your preferences between visits). You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but doing so may limit some Platform features.

3.5 Google Sign-In and Google User Data

MPC: VISTA offers “Sign in with Google” to authenticate you. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your basic profile information with us — your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account identifier — so we can create and authenticate your Account. We request only this basic profile information. We do not request or access your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this information solely to create your Account, sign you in, and associate your training progress and completion records with your Account. We do not sell Google user data, we do not share it except with the service providers that operate the Platform, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform;
• Create and manage your Account and, where applicable, your Institution’s roster of users;
• Track, issue, and verify professional development credit and completion records;
• Communicate with you about your Account, training progress, or Platform updates;
• Maintain the security and integrity of the Platform, including detecting and preventing fraud or misuse;
• Analyze usage trends to improve the Platform’s content and functionality;
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

5. How We Share Your Information

dfusion Inc. does not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• With your Institution:if you access MPC: VISTA through an Institution’s license, we may share your registration and completion data with your Institution’s designated administrator to verify enrollment and professional development credit.
• With service providers: we may share information with vendors who help us host, operate, or support the Platform (for example, hosting or email delivery providers). These providers are permitted to use your information only to provide services to us and must keep it confidential.
• For legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
• Business transfers: if MPC: VISTA is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
• With your consent: we may share information for other purposes with your consent.

6. Data Retention

We retain your Account and usage/progress data for as long as your Account is active and as necessary to provide the Platform, issue and verify professional development records, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Completion records may be retained longer where needed to verify professional development credit on request.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or update your personal information;
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legitimate need to retain certain records (for example, completion records required for credentialing);
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 11. If you access the Platform through an Institution, some requests (such as roster changes) may need to be made through your Institution’s administrator.

8. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Transfer

Your information is processed at dfusion Inc.’s operating offices in the United States and by service providers who may be located in other jurisdictions. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing of your information.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

For material changes, we will provide additional notice (such as email to registered Users) before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
